Voting is slow
November 3, 2009
Voter turnout for Orange County municipality elections has been very slow
thus far, said Orange County Board of Elections director Tracy Reams. Specific numbers aren’t yet available.
Regular voting for Orange County municipal elections kicked off at 6:30 a.m.
Reams said peak voting times are in the morning before many go to work, during the lunchtime hour and directly after 5 p.m.
To find your polling place, visit the Polling Place Locator at the N.C. Board of Elections Web site.
This election, runoffs are not an option, Reams said. The election will go
to the candidate with the most votes.
